What: For those of you who enjoy running in the brisk fall weather, the Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Day 5K is a great event for you to attend. Registration is currently open and discounted until Monday, November 11th, 2019. Final online registration must be completed by Monday, November 25th, 2019. Old Town Cape Christmas Tree Lighting

Where: Vasterling Suites Courtyard, 151 N Fountain Street, Cape Girardeau, MO

When: Friday, November 29th, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

What: Another great event to consider here in Cape Girardeau this Thanksgiving weekend is the Old Town Cape Christmas Tree Lighting on Black Friday! This first-time event will feature Santa Claus lighting the 30-foot Christmas tree in the Vasterling Suites Courtyard. Following the tree lighting, complimentary beverages and snacks will be provided by the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Top of the Marq, and Baristas Coffee Bar across the street.

Old Town Cape’s Parade of Lights

Where: Capaha Park Entrance on Broadway Street to Art Van Furniture at 43 S Main Street

When: Sunday, December 1st, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

What: Finally, on Sunday, December 1st, join the community and Old Town Cape, Inc. for the 28th Annual Downtown Christmas Parade of Lights. The theme for this year’s parade is Christmas Lights and Winter Lights. Make sure to find a great spot along the parade route to see the best aspects that this year’s parade will offer!
